It was a Volvo story all in one thread but in the end our burner is the imitable Hoccy

What happens now?

Monday I will choose an Opponaught that has volunteered to login to a Reddit account and start a thread on /r/Oppositelock. In that thread they will be mercilessly interrogated by our crack team of Opponaught detectives with car related questions. They will answer all the car questions truthfully.

Everyone else?

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to head over to Reddit and ask the car related questions that burn brightest in your soul in an effort to divine which Opponaught is answering your questions. Haha, nice to hear! I knew the year would give it away so had to make a riddle out of that one. When I gave the decade a Volvo enthusiast would have gotten 1970 as the year quite quickly, as it is the only year in the 70's that Volvo had three large-ish 2-door models (142, Amazon, P1800). Pretty sure I’m the only one here with a 140 right now as well?

I think you’re the only one.

And I interpreted that clue wrong. I thought you meant it had to be 3 models inside a series in the same year. That’s why I went 200's, 700's, 100's. We also didn’t have confirmation it was a 2 door, only that it wasn’t a wagon or a hatchback

I expected you to ask how many doors it had (or at least more regarding the body style), but that one didn’t come. Totally see how the clue could be misinterpreted, since the 140, 240 and so on is thought of as a both models and series..
